Business Management Daily, part of Capitol Information Group, has acquired the publishing assets of the Alexander Hamilton Institute, a New Jersey-based publisher founded in 1909.
The acquisition adds depth to Business Management Daily’s line-up of products supporting the human resource profession, according to Capitol Information Group Publisher Phil Ash. The company already produces 13 HR-related newsletters, as well as webinars, e-newsletters, web sites, books, special reports and the annual Labor & Employment Law Advanced Practices Symposium.
Alexander Hamilton Institute assets acquired include three newsletters: Manager’s Legal Bulletin, Payroll Legal Alert and Personnel Legal Alert. Other assets acquired include four looseleaf services (with semi-annual updates), three e-newsletters, three web sites, ancillary products and a series of HR training programs.
“After several years of a very hesitant marketplace, it feels good to again be in a position to act on opportunities as they arise,” Ash said. “The Alexander Hamilton assets were a very sensible acquisition for us. The various products will either augment our existing customer base or fill a few content areas that we had wanted to enter. We look forward to quickly integrating these services into our product line and continuing our search for others.”
“I am very pleased that our long-established titles have found a new home with Business Management Daily,” said Alexander Hamilton Institute President Schuyler Jenks. “We have spent decades nurturing a reputation for providing practical and reliable HR advice to our readers. I know that legacy will continue with Business Management Daily.”
